I LOVED the 2016 Ghostbusters but making all the white ghostbusters Doctors and the only black one NOT has always really bothered me. I LOVE Patty though, I love her history knowledge. As a historian and not a scientist I think she's much cooler than the others. But SHE NEEDED TO BE A DOCTOR TOO! This comic made it worse TWICE it has all the characters in opening panels and everyone gets to be a doctor except the black woman. What kind of message does that send to kids? It's something that really needs to be addressed and wasn't. It was a fun adventure, and Patty was awesome and smart. This book seemed to capture the ladies personalitites much more than the other one I read. The story was about a ghost who drew on your darkest fear, and how sharing your fears lessened them which was a nice message.

I want to start off and say this was a very solid volume. I, of course, had my concerns with the all-female team movie being a bit of a let down. I felt Kelly Thompson's writing was very enjoyable and I did not initially anticipate for the series to be written by anyone else other than Burnham. I certainly enjoyed each and every lady, including Kevin who is probably hands down my favorite character. Overall all the story and antagonist comparable well to Burnham's writing. Art is spot on and feels like there is hardly a deviation from Burnham's run. Story was great. Ending was great. Overall jokes and funny moments were well placed. I more so wish I had not waited as long as I did to read these as individual issues.

The team responds to a simple Class III ghost call that turns into a nightmare for them and the city. I was halfway through when I went online and bought myself a copy. This is DELIGHTFUL. I love Kelly Thompson. I loved this new adventure, and getting deeper into the characters. The art wasn't my favorite--Abby's odd hair style that looked like 70s sideburns made me twitch every time I looked at her, for just one example. Patty is so completely fantastic as their historian with much needed common sense, I loved Erin going to comfort Holtz, and I love how they solved the case. And Erin's confusion over how to bill it. Utterly delightful. I wish there was more!!

Comic in illustration, dialog, and action seemed to hold to true to the movie characters. Fun continuation of their storyline.

Another comic series I read in individual issues. I loved the humor, dialog and artwork in this series based on the new movie featuring 4 female leads. If you liked the movie you will like this!
